It’s been a while since we heard from Freddie Schuster, aka Freddie Heart (formerly of Madhouse). His latest project, genXpired, is all about staying true to himself and making sure the music stays fun.
Although he’s been shredding in various forms since the late 80’s, it seems Freddie’s finally come into his own. But let’s not mistake that for actually growing up. In an age of cancel culture and wokeness, his maturity level is still refreshingly questionable.
Freddie’s new single “Friends” is a lighthearted look at why some friends ultimately let you down by drawing on the many similarities between breasts and besties. As Freddie explains, life is a metaphor and boobs can be too.
On a particularly deep and philosophical evening,” said Freddie, “it occurred to me: friends, come in many of the same varieties as that beloved body part. Sometimes you need a friend that can just hang, or one who is perky, and we all need a pal or two who’s flat out trashy. And then there is that nasty piece of sh*t you wish you’d never laid eyes on. It’s that last category that really inspired this song.”
So, if you have a friend that kicked you to the curb like yesterday’s garbage, we recommend grabbing a beer and turning the volume up loud on this one.
