Ivan Chandler is one of the UK’s most respected music copyright & licensing experts. He has held senior positions in the entertainment industry including Elton John’s Rocket Music Co., General Manager of Paramount Pictures’ music division, European Manager and A&R Director of Motown’s music publishing company and the Music Consultant for PACT (The Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television).
In 1995, Ivan set up Musicalities as an independent cost-effective and time-efficient music solution for producers of film, TV, animation, live events and digital content.
Services include: music copyright research, music supervision (inc. copyright clearance & licensing and the provision of alternative music choices), advising on music publishing acquisition, music cost reports, drafting & negotiating music agreements and delivering all the necessary documentation.
Clients include – amongst many others – Aardman Animations, Discovery, Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment, IMG Media, Peter Andre, The Halle Orchestra, Amnesty International, IMG Media through to numerous independent television & film companies in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Finland, Spain, Switzerland and the USA.
Musicalities also negotiates and facilitates PRS and PPL licensing agreements, assists in resolving music copyright disputes and, in association with its affiliated company, Chandler & Siddell, provides Musicological Reports to support the resolution of music copyright concerns or disputes.
