The key to getting into a radio station is a radio demo or showreel. Until you have that the doors to a radio station will remain locked. On the UK Talk Radio presenter course we will teach you how to read things out such as traffic reports and sound natural. We will also find out about your skills and your interests and how you can bring them into the radio show !

Have fun learning!

So come along to one of our UK Talk Radio presenter training courses. Imagine yourself sat in the studio playing the music. You’re learning how the controls work and having a great time developing valuable skills. We aim to give you a demo mp3 so that you can use it to get yourself into a radio station. It’s your first step on the road to success.

Your radio presenter course will be with one of the UK Talk Radio presenters including Geoff Carter who has been a radio presenter for more than 30 years, working at different stations around the UK including Kestrel FM in Basingstoke, Quay West radio in Somerset and Wessex FM in Dorset.

The different formats and styles used at radio station

We will also help you determine which kind of radio station you would like to work with. Some groups such as Heart Radio have formats and perhaps you are more suited to this kind of radio station. We will show you how these formats work. There are other radio stations that do local interviews and have guests in. During the course we also explain how those types of radio stations work. Then this will give you a clearer idea of the kind of radio station that you would like to be a part of. We will also give you some practical experience of both these types of radio stations when you’re at UK Talk Radio. Then you get a clearer idea of which you enjoy the most.
