In addition to Florence Nightingale’s work and ideas, this book illustrates the historical significance of Malta’s location in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, the country’s at-the-time highly effective healthcare system, the bravery of our ancestors’ doctors and the work they did despite their preexisting limitations, and more.

I had the privilege of touring inside Villa Sans Souci in 1980, and I was awestruck by what I saw. I therefore wanted to give a comprehensive account of the interior of Villa Sans Souci so that it is preserved.
