My experience recording the song
â Learning the art of self-discipline and preparation prior and during the recording studio sessions combined with the endurance/stamina during the recording process as you have to have a clear idea of exactly what it is that you want to achieve in the overall vocal and sonic sound; enduring repetitive vocal takes and the listening back to the same song a thousand times over, can be tedious but in the end very rewarding. Teamwork and professionalism are essential traits to have when working with a producer/production team.
đ AKASHIC GODS Blasts Off with Bold New Anthem Weapons in Space đ
đ€ Geoff Carter Reviews the Latest Release
Every now and then, a track comes along that refuses to fit into a boxâand AKASHIC GODS has just delivered one of those moments. Her brand-new single, Weapons in Space, isnât just a song, itâs a full-scale sonic battle cry. With raw punk energy, indie grit, and ethereal alternative textures, this one-woman powerhouse takes us on an interstellar ride that feels urgent, fearless, and unforgettable.
đ You Wonât Believe How Weapons in Space Hooks You From the Very First Note!
The track bursts open with a powerful guitar riff and a spoken vocal that instantly makes you stop and think. Backed by layered guitars and keyboards, the lyrics carry weight and meaning, drawing you in deeper with every line.
Itâs got that commercial edge where, on the very first play, it already feels familiar â like a song youâve always known but never heard before. And the magic? Each listen makes it grow stronger in your mind, until you find yourself hitting replay again and again.
đ From Dance Floors to Dystopian Soundscapes
What I love about AKASHIC GODS is her courage to evolve. Once praised in the dance world by icons like David Guetta and Fatboy Slim, sheâs now carved out a universe where celestial themes meet human vulnerability. And with guitarist Richard Pedroso now adding fire to her live performances, the sound has grown even bigger and more visceral.
đ¶ A Track with Edge and Atmosphere
Produced by Carlone Lewis, Weapons in Space fuses dystopian beats, soaring guitars courtesy of Alan Riggs (formerly of Delta 5), and vocals that are as hypnotic as they are haunting. Think Grace Jones, Siouxsie Sioux, Bowie, and Nina Hagenâbut with a bold originality that is pure AKASHIC GODS. This track is loud, layered, and laced with cosmic resistance.
đŹ A Video That Matches the Vision
The music video, directed by AKASHIC GODS herself, is nothing short of stunning. Itâs a surreal, sci-fi exploration of spiritual warfare and empowerment, blending live performance shots with galactic symbolism. The visuals amplify the trackâs message: transformation, rebellion, and liberation in a world on the edge.
đ A Legacy in the Making
With past appearances alongside Shalamar, Secret Life, and Radio 1 Live, as well as features in the Daily Mirror and a Notting Hill Rockstar Award, AKASHIC GODS is building more than a careerâsheâs building a legacy. Every release, every performance, feels like part of a bigger story of reinvention and artistic freedom.
â My verdict: Weapons in Space is more than musicâitâs a movement. A track that dares you to feel, to fight, and to fly beyond the ordinary.
