Reviews ‘We’d Be’ The brand new single from Rafael Montecruz

Rafael Montecruz returns with another spellbinding release that’s sure to leave a mark. We’d Be is a beautifully crafted acoustic-pop track — a moving and timeless tribute to enduring love and the bonds that hold us together.

From the very first note, the track sets a warm and genuine tone. With its organic band arrangement, the song builds from a gentle acoustic base into something far more powerful and expansive — almost cinematic in its emotional sweep. As We’d Be grows, so too does its energy, passion, and brightness, offering a true moment of uplift.

Rich Character

Rafael’s vocals, rich with character and heartfelt sincerity, are paired perfectly with guest artist Abraham Armell. Together, they deliver a performance filled with raw emotion and authenticity. The lyrics are simple yet poetic, capturing the essence of love, family, and deep personal connection. But what makes this special is how universal the feeling becomes — these aren’t just Rafael’s words; they echo experiences and dreams we all share.

If that weren’t enough, Rafael recently released Someday, another stellar single that highlights his ability to craft songs with meaning, heart, and musical depth. With a more stripped-back, piano-led vibe, Someday carries a reflective tone — capturing moments of vulnerability and uncertainty while still offering a sense of hope and forward motion.

A Rare Gift

Rafael has a rare gift: the ability to translate deeply personal experiences into music that resonates with a wide audience. Whether it’s a solo vocal and piano piece or a full band production, his work carries emotional weight, clarity, and a genuine sense of human connection.

In a world full of noise, Rafael Montecruz continues to shine as a voice of honesty and heartfelt creativity. With thousands tuning in each month, his music speaks louder than any accolade. It’s music that sticks with you, and that’s what truly matters.

Rafael says of ‘We’d Be’

I was playing my guitar, spending the day with my two-year-old daughter who was the main inspiration for this song. Thinking about how every moment we spend together is precious. This track features a guitar-focused arrangement with both acoustic and electric guitars. The electric guitars weave leads and rhythms alongside resolute drumming and a warm bass line. It is a rock/pop, singer/songwriter creation meant to tell a heart-wrenching story that will resonate with the listener.
