Mark worked with the Drug Intervention Programme team within addiction services in Ealing, London, and later with drug and alcohol services in North Yorkshire. His professional experience includes residential rehabs, psychiatric hospital wards, detox units, day programmes, group facilitation, and creative therapies in Leeds and London.
🎓 Experience, Training and Approach
Mark’s qualifications include a Level 4 Diploma in Drug and Alcohol Counselling. He has also received extensive training from respected addiction and trauma specialists including Dr Gabor Maté, Stephen Porges PhD, Pat Ogden PhD, Tommy Rosen, and Dr Joe Dispenza.
His work focuses on addictions, emotions, the emotional self, trauma, and the latest developments in neuroscience connected to addictive tendencies.
Mark currently works as a drug and alcohol therapist in his home city of Leeds, UK. His approach includes a combination of CBT, REBT, client-centred therapy, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, breathwork, and practical neuroscience-based information.
