“To purge her, to reclaim the lifeblood she’s leeched away. . . I’d entertain the darkest of deeds.”
Gwen Delroy was once the toast of the town, her words dripping with wicked wit and tantalizing taboo. Now, she’s nothing more than a suburban relic, dissecting her own mundane existence with the precision of a scalpel slicing through the cadaver of her own life. Her latest revelation? A simple formula for infidelity: husband plus sleazy interior designer equals blueprint for betrayal.
Armed with nothing more than a bottle of wine as a vessel of valour, Gwen is hell-bent on exposing the rot festering beneath the veneer of her meticulously crafted life, proving once and for all that when it comes to avenging the bonds of marriage . . . she’s more than willing to dig two graves.
The Names He Calls Me is a dark, biting narrative that flirts dangerously with the brink of violence and eroticism. Imagine a literary concoction laced with a sharp twist, crafted by a narrator whose flaws are as captivating as they are unrepentant. It’s the kind of story that will offer you a drink, crack a joke, then make off with your heart—and your car keys—while your back is turned.
Fun fact: Author is an actress and was main cast on HBO’s show The Idol.
The author is currently working on a screenplay adaptation for the book, which is being used for both feature film and short film consideration.

This psychological thriller is unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The author has such a beautiful writing style, it’s so descriptive I could imagine every detail like I was right there in the pages. It was the perfect blend of thrilling scandal and beautiful poetic justice. “To be loved by a writer is to be forever preserved in their words. Because in the end, poems don’t just capture souls, they devour them”
I would highly recommend this book to readers who love an unreliable FMC such as in Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train and The Woman in the Window! Trigger warnings: Profanity, Sex, Violence, and Death
